Dave Hestera-Football

Dave Hestera, a Pomona High and Colorado Football great at the tight end position, is suffering from Parkinson's and degenerative joint disease in his lower spine.  He is seeking our help with expenses related to a stem cell treatment in AZ which is not covered by insurance.

Rashaan Salaam-Football

Buffs4Life is greatly saddened at the passing of a great Buffalo, Rashaan Salaam, CU's only Heisman Trophy winner. Buffs4Life is currently accepting donations to help the family offset burial and other associated expenses.

Chancellor Lee Adams

Buffs4Life first became involved with the life of Chancellor Lee Adams in 2013 when HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel first aired a segment on "Lee", the son of the CU football alum Rae Carruth and the late Cherica Adams.

Adams was eight months pregnant when she was tragically gunned down, an act ordered by her then boyfriend Rae Carruth.  Lee was brought into the world and now almost seventeen years later, Lee continues to battle the cerebral palsy that has left him crippled. Despite the setbacks along the way, Lee has preserved mainly due to the loving care of his grandmother, Saundra and also in due in part, to the support of Jon Embree and the Buffs4Life family.

Buffs4Life would like to continue to help Lee and Saundra on this amazing journey by raising funds to assist Saundra build an addition to her home so that some day Lee will be able to live independently.

Fred Franzblau-Football

Fred was a part of the CU Football team in the early years of the McCartney era.  Unfortunately Fred suffered from a neurological disorder,  but remained a constant fixture around the team.   He is permanently disabled and his mother has cared for him in the 30 plus years since first being diagnosed.  Now Fred's condition has deteriorated to the point that his mother has not been able to care for him and had to put him in a rehab facility in hopes of recovering some of his function. Please help us help Fred and his mother pay for his care.
